Projects

Project description
Gryphon was Impact Safety’s Seventh project at the Mildred Lake facility providing Remote Confined Space Monitoring (RCSM) technology to Syncrude.
Like the last project at Syncrude, we were given instruction to focus on hiring locals to prevent the chance of bringing in Covid-19 from outside the region. We always focus on building a local workforce, generating long-term sustainable jobs within the RMBW. Therefore, we were able to fuel the project with 80% locally resided employees. 0% of our employees for this project were brought in from outside of the province of Alberta.
The overall percentage of cost savings utilizing RCSM versus traditional confined space attendants for this project was 39.5%. Furthermore, we were able to reduce the risk exposure hours for personnel by 43,524 hours. Leading to cost benefits while increasing the overall safety.
We are proud to work with Syncrude on the cutting edge of this evolving technology and exploring the many ways that we can provide enhanced safety for confined space entrants.
